Family Hike to Crash Site

On June 11, 2017 the family of Roland Kemble hiked to the crash site. The day was sunny and very hot, but everyone made it there in good spirits. Roland Kemble was a passenger on board Flight 371 when it went down On December 1, 1959. Those hiking today were Joseph Kemble, (Nephew) James McHugh, (Nephew) Melanie Hodge, Robert McHugh, (Nephew), and Caroline McHugh, (Great Niece).

Hiking along the power line road on the way to the crash site.

While hiking several hundred feet below the crash site we found a small cable. It's believed this was part of a larger cable used to bring much of the wreckage down the mountain.
